My name is Sheri Mounteer. I grew up in Wyoming. I received my Masters in Physical Therapy degree in 1996 from the University of North Dakota. After 20+ years of practicing in a variety of settings including orthopedics, geriatric rehab, home health and upper level management, I transferred my knowledge and skill set to pursue my passion for dogs. In June 2019, I received my certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist from the Canine Rehab Institute.
I am Fear Free Certified.
My hobbies include the outdoors – mountain biking, trail running, hiking, skiing and camping. I love to enjoy many of these things with my dog, Hannah. I am also an active volunteer with the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley.
Christy Cary is a Colorado native who graduated from Regis University in 1996 with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She has worked in a wide variety of physical therapy settings including pediatrics, orthopedics, inpatient, sports and has held multiple
leadership roles. Christy has always had a passion for working with animals and her prior physical therapy experiences allow her to naturally extend these skills to dogs. After going through the rehabilitation process with several of her own dogs, she became passionate about dog rehabilitation. She is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute since 2021.
Christy is excited to be able to extend her knowledge and care to help dogs live their best lives.
Christy enjoys spending her time in the mountains doing outdoor activities with her family and their dogs. Christy has always had dogs as family members and has volunteered with local animal rescues and programs her entire life.
I am the newest member of Sheri’s team and excited to be here. I moved to Colorado with my family in the mid-90’s and never left. I graduated from Regis University with my Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2001 and focused my career on geriatric rehab and home health. After 20+ years in the field, I did some soul
searching on next steps and decided to combine my passion for physical therapy with my passion for animals and received my certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist from The Canine Rehabilitation Institute in March 2023.
My home is considered a zoo with 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, a bearded dragon, and my fellow zoo keeper, my husband. When I am not chauffeuring my children to their various activities, I enjoy hiking, paddleboarding, and enjoying the beauty of Colorado with my family. I
look forward to working with your beloved pet to help them live their best life!
